Hugh MacNally B.A., ASIA, F Fin, Director

Hugh is a director and founding shareholder of Private Portfolio Managers. He has been a full time executive of PPM for 15 years and is responsible for management and oversight of portfolios and the analysis of investment opportunities.

Prior to founding PPM, Hugh spent four years as Manager, Investments at Permanent Trustee, where he had responsibility for the management of $900 million in investment funds under the company's control. The funds comprised five pooled investment funds and a large number of individually managed accounts.

Hugh commenced his career in investment management in 1984 with APA Assurance as an analyst covering Australia and New Zealand. He has over 26 years experience in investment management.

Elton Doyle, LLB, B.Com, F Fin, Director

Elton joined Private Portfolio Managers in August 2005 to undertake stock and investment theme research. During 2010 Elton was appointed a Director after a successful tenure as Portfolio Manager.

Prior to joining PPM, Elton spent 5 years with Perpetual, mostly in the Private Clients area managing Australian equity portfolios for high net worth clients and Australian family offices. Funds under management within Perpetual Private Clients at the time were $4 billion.

Elton holds a bachelor degree in Law and Commerce.

Ian Hardy, B. Ec., F Fin, Portfolio Manager

Ian joined PPM in October 2011 as a Portfolio Manager responsible for research and investment management.

Prior to joining PPM, Ian was Chief Investment Officer at Centric Wealth where he was responsible for $400 million in Australian funds under management. Ian managed both individually managed accounts and managed funds.

Before Centric, Ian played a key role in building the Challenger funds management business, where he was Group Chief Investment Officer with responsibility for more than $8 billion in funds.

Ian has more than 30 years investment management and research experience.

Peter Reed, B.Ec., LLB, Portfolio Manager

Peter joined Private Portfolio Managers in July 2007 to undertake stock research and investment portfolio management.

From 2001 Peter worked at QBE Insurance in Sydney, managing Australian and New Zealand equity portfolios. Funds under management within the investment division at the time were in excess of $15 billion.

Prior to joining QBE, Peter spent 8 years with Chase Bank in Tokyo managing global equity portfolios for institutional investors.

Peter holds a bachelor degree in Economics and Law from the University of Sydney.

Bill Gregerson, B. Ec., M Com., ASIA, F Fin, Founding Shareholder

Bill is a founding shareholder of Private Portfolio Managers. He has been managing funds at PPM for 14 years and is responsible for the management of portfolios and the analysis of investment opportunities.

Prior to the founding of PPM, Bill was a stockbroker with ABS White for 20 years, initially as a research analyst and subsequently research partner prior to the firm's acquisition by the BNP Paribas Group. Bill was a member of the Australian Stock Exchange from 1983 to 1998, when he resigned his membership to join PPM.

Before joining ABS White Bill spent five years with Development Finance Corporation  as an investment analyst and portfolio manager.

Kris Vogelsong, B.Sc, MBA, APIM, Head of Corporate Development

Kris joined Private Portfolio Managers in July 2009 to lead PPM’s corporate development activities.

Before joining PPM, Kris was a Director at Westpac Private Bank, and worked as an independent consultant to a variety of funds management and other financial services organisations.

Kris' earlier employment included Head of Product Development with ASX, and senior positions with Deutsche Bank in Australia and Salomon Smith Barney in the US.

His education includes multiple degrees and spans three continents.
